As a child, I played for hours with my Barbie and Midge dolls.  Elaborate lives and scenarios were created for them that changed regularly.  One day in my studio I realized I was still doing that with my sculptures; except I was the only one to know their stories.  Thus began the “Story People” series:  the inner lives of my creations.   I now have just as much fun building my sculptures as I do dreaming up their story.
